Jack Dorsey confirms that Block is officially building a Bitcoin mining system. The project’s goal is to make mining Bitcoin, the world's first and largest cryptocurrency, more distributed and efficient. Block intends to solve mining issues such as mining rig availability, high price, reliability and power consumption.
